Adjectives with Apples!

Say What?!  2 blog posts in less than a week?!

Happy Monday friends!

Does it seem that the weekends are flying by even faster?  I'm pretty sure yesterday was Friday and Saturday and Sunday got lost somewhere!

Today was so much fun because we had a completely new unit in each subject!  (I *love* introducing new units!)

We started a brand new unit with adjectives! To help my kiddos relate to something, we carried over our apple fun from last week!

We had real apples to observe today and we dove right in!

We made our chart together and added our words to our apple!

My kiddos then got to make their own Juicy Apple Adjectives!

This was my example that I showed them...

They did such a great job with their crafts!  (And they don't even know they are learning!)

We added to our applesauce sequencing display and now our entire wall is all about apples!

Have a great week!!

APPLES of FUN! (and a freebie!)

Hi sweet friends!

So I told myself that I would blog more often, but not so much.  With school AND graduate school taking up most of my time, blogging has somehow fallen down on that list.  My goal is to get much better with that!

So......

Another week down.....

Can you believe that October will be here in less than a week?!   Where in the world is this year going?!  We have been having so much fun in the classroom since school started and it's only getting better!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE my new school?!  Everyone is so sweet and works so hard at what they do!  I am so happy!

Sorry...got a little sidetracked

With the end of September quickly upon us, that only means one thing!  APPLES!! (and hopefully cooler weather)!

We didn't get as much apple fun is as I would have liked, but we did manage a few fun (and delicious) activities!

This week was ALL about sequencing, so it was only necessary to sequence how to make applesauce!

We have been using our sequence vocabulary all week and the students had to put the words in order:

We took our words that we put in order and placed them onto our apple chart!

As we made our applesauce together, we wrote our steps on our apple.  Students got to make their own interactive applesauce sequence page!

The *adorable* apple craftivity is from Michelle Hudgeons!  (and it's FREE!)

At the end of the day (after smelling what I think Heaven may smell like).... we finally got to eat our hard work!

and of course display our work!

Even Jaxon joined along in the apple shopping!  (Mainly because MOM here forgot to get his apples for HIS class over the weekend!)  So we went shopping Monday night!

(He really wanted to buy about 83 apples....but we limited it to about 12!)

I am SO excited about this coming week!  It will be ALL about Adjectives....and what better way to use our describing words....than with MORE apples!

Stay tuned!

(I promise it won't be another month till I blog!)
